I can see one extension that works with 3.2 that isn't with problue.

It's called custom site logo. Testing version 2.1.0 RC6 for 3.2 One of the setting it has is to move the search to the navbar. That doesn't happen. Disabled the moon ext to test. Same thing.

didn't get a notification. Perhaps because I was on the posting page for pm's at the time. EDIT: or because I wasn't subscribed to the topic. smdh. lol. Got use to being auto subscribed when I comment or start a topic.

I put the search bar back in the sidebar. Puchahawa can you try those extensions you showed that did not work in the header? There is that ext uploader in acp you can add those and enable them. The moon one and the other one you reported. See if it works now without hiding our sidebar search.

These are the two templates I updated.

Checking

Edit: after replacing the two template files the search is moved. IF the site logo ext has the setting (yes) to move to navbar the search does NOT show up in the sidebar. It stays in the header. IF that setting is off it shows correctly.

"normally" the site logo ext moves the search to the area underlined in red. Not sure why it didn't with this. Up to you as far as placement just sharing.

The moon works but doubles the header banner. If you look at the pic below you can see the moon and search bar. The header banner is about 1/3 bigger than the "norm" for aeroblack (3.2) to accommodate the moon.

Took a peek at the overall header html file and noticed this on line 26. phpBB style name: prosilver

Came across another ext that is not playing nice. The extension is pages (3.2). One of the options when you create a new page is where you want the link for that new page to show. (see pic) The options with the red tic don't show on problue.

With the functions that would normally be on the navbar moved to the sidebar i'm thinking it doesn't have the correct events for adding the links with them predefined" Don't know if there is anything to be done about that. this pic shows the links added for two pages created by the ext.

I know other extension will want to add a link on the navbar and they can just change the event used to accomplish that. Not sure if it would make sense to share the event(s) used under "forum" on the sidebar for them or have them bother you because the links don't show.

The reason for this is because of the sidebar, the top part of the header navbar is hidden. It is probably moving the search in the header navbar but it's hidden. That is good info knowing it hides the sidebar search. I can fix that problem now that I know it's a problem. Like most extensions it will need a problue directory for custom settings.

That extension will need a problue directory also. But you want rename the event templates for the links to show up in the sidebar. You still want the links to show up in the header navbar so in responsive mode they will show. The sidebar has events. Like mchat's link in the breadcrumb I copied his overall_header_navigation_append.html event template to sidebar_body_quick_links_before.html and edited the codes to match the sidebar codes.

I'll have to install these two extensions and see what I need to adjust so these and other extensions want have conflicts. I already see the sidebar search will need a different class so it want hide with the site logo extension.

Good stuff man! Thanks for the info. Let me work these problems out.

Alright I'm looking at the moon phase right now. It put the moon in the header on a new line even though it was float right. I'll have to find out if my events are in the right place. Something is off and it will effect other extensions in the header.

I had to use a margin-top: -60px; to get the moon where it should have showed up normally. And I added a #phase { max-height: 50px; } to the css so it wouldn't stretch the height of the header out.

I'll figure out why it's adding that moon on a new line first thing and then test one of the other extensions to make sure I have the header fixed. Man I don't think I would have seen this problem without installing these extensions. Thanks for seeing that.

That was quite a surprise. Refreshed the page and the moon was there. Had to do a double take to make sure what site I was looking at. Yours or my 3.2 test site. :glass:

Ok I found the problems in my stylesheets with the header. I updated them and removed the problue directory in the moon phase ext. It's now running off the prosilver css. Of couse I kept the max-height I added in there. Now I see it is still stretching the height because of the margin-bottom. I'll have to remove that margin and it will be fine in problue and prosilver.

The updated stylesheets...
